what i am concerned about is the reporters VIOLENTLY APPARENT dismissal of the gun on their left! for the reporter in the red skirt it is sort of understandable... being on on the outer edge of her ~130 degree vision, but the older lady in white had CLEAR peripheral view of the firearm! this is why you should be perceptive of the world around you! Tim, lets get some shit straight. Magically removing privately held arms would result in even more military weapons and hardware in circulation than there already is. Id rather not face criminals with claymores and m203s. Second, the right for us to keep and bear arms was established by our constitution. Once constitutional right is surrendered, more will follow. A man that gives up a right does not deserve or need rights.
Third amd most important of all. At present in the continantal United States there are in public circurlation that every man, woman and child in this country today could have one and there would still be 67 million firearms left over. Ill do the math for you. Thats 400,000,000 weapons here circulating openly. How would you suggest they be collected when theres no way to know where they are or who has them? Huh? How? And these ppl are not just going to surrender and bring them outside to be collected. Many would rather die than be nuetered and defenceless. The best effort could getabout half of them at best. What would you do? Theres no way to search everywhere and everyone. No way to know who has what. No way to get ppl to just give them up. Not without a fight. What you suggest will start civil war and violent coups and revolution. Precisely the reason we have the right. Should the government become corrupted, violating its citizens and rights,and no longer hear our voices or have our best interest not theirs in mind, it is the duty of civilian citizens to remove from power, dismantle, dissolve and replace that government when required.Read the US constitution, thats what it says. I for one will not disarm and be helpless at the whim of foreigner who have no idea what theyre tlking about. The truth is that firrarms,violence and bullets do one thing exceedingly well. They get results. Not always results you intended or ones that are approved by everyone. And having them isnt a perfect thing,but its far more perfect than being helpless sheep in places without them. We are America, we dont take shit from other ppl no matter who you are. The US gun laws need amending it's insane that any " nutcase " can get his ( or her ) hands on a lethal firearm and cause so much pain. In my opinion anyone who owns a firearm who disagrees with this needs disarming immediately as they are just as crazy as the guy squeezing the trigger. Reply Report
