Interests and Hobbies:I really enjoy Hiking, Fishing, Playing video games (currently addicted to Overwatch, Fire Emblem, and the MGS Series of games.) Making art (mostly collages, occasionally sketches.) and pretending to be a pretentious movie critic.
Favorite Movies and Shows:Huge fan of really anything so long as it's good,
That said I do have a few favorites:
(I'll do top 3 in no particular order if anyone wants me to expand it to top 5 let me know)
Doctor Who, Firefly, iZombie
Favorite Music:This is the big question.
I listen to pretty much everything except for country music.
Again top 3 to keep things simple, no particular order:
The Mountain goats: John Darnell is just a genius when it comes to lyrics though his chord progression can get repetitive at times, his music has so much heart and raw emotion that it more than makes up for any issues this causes with most artist out there, by far my favorite.
Amaranth: To be fair I actually don't know too too much about these guys found out about them through a really good friend of mine about a month or so back, and been rocking to them ever since great heavy sound and excellent vocals makes for a really energetic type of music that I just really dig at the moment.
Motion City Soundtrack: We all have to let out our inner raging hormonal highschooler every once in awhile so why not do it with this mand, who actually ends up consistently putting out some of the catchiest tunes I've heard in awhile.
Favorite Books:Another big question I read, okay, I read a lot.
Top 5 this time, changing things up for ya.
The Stand, Stephen King: Not much to add here, just can't go wrong with classic horror.
Hearts in Atlantis, again Stephen King, and while this one is a creepy story, it's not necessarily a horror one, it's more about love, loss, and growing up in the 70's.
The Catcher in the Rye, J.D. Salinger, One of my two favorite books from my formative high school years, definitely influenced me to not be such a phony.
Lord of the Flies: Another book from my formative years, though this one I read in middle school, it's since permeated my dreams on more than one occasion.
And lastly House of Leaves: A compelling story about an eldritch-esque horror of a house which has internal dimensions that change and differ from the external, and the tale of the man who wrote about it, truly a gripping and, quite literally; twisting tale in which how you read it is just aqs impactful as the plot is to the sense of dread this work of art elicits.
