Having made about 300 Slimline pens, I can say a few things. I did a GREAT job making the mandrel and knurled mandrel nut. The bushings worked, but traditionally they're about an inch long so you have more room to work. the pens themselves are far from the worst I've seen, you just get bit by the lack of room to work on them sometimes with the narrow bushings. If you keep make them, adding a Cyanoacrylate finish with a wet polish will take the pens to the next level as well as make them a LOT more durable. I also like the drill press for pressing the pens together, I've been using a vinyl mallet which is sketchy. The power drill lathe is impressive as was the tool rest.
