I do not believe that the Brazen Bull worked as advertised.
There is simply no way to turn screams into the sounds of an angry Bull.
Instead I believe the evaporating steam and vapors are fed through the like of organ-Pipes creating anangry mooing Sound.
Why? because the Inventor had to solve an unsolvable Problem: to much Pain, and the Victim passes out- Tyrant not Happy. Not only were these torture methods from Midevil times, they used in modern times. Yes, 2016, 2017 and for quite awhile prior to 2017. Just check out what ISIS does, This video could be used as a training program for members of ISIS.

In the set, that I saw, they started by cutting off the guys breasts, after which he fainted or bled to death. At least he stopped moving entirely and just hung limp on the post, to which he was tied. So I guess this was mostly just meant as a spectacle for the crowd, rather than actual torture.
