Talking, no loss of sight (or what I pressume) and it all heals to a great finish. As mentioned, the human body is amazing at what it can stand, but the human species who learn how to fix things like this are even more amazing.
Be honest though. If this had happened to you, would you have wanted to live after it? Not sure myself, but I know I wouldn't want to live if I lost my eye sight or got severly paralysed.

OMFG! I know the power of the human body to survive serious trauma is sometimes amazing but this surpasses all belief. Having seen it (several times), I still can't believe the guy is alive, talking, and looking pretty damn good considering. Truly fucking incredible!
